How to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel a Crunchyroll subscription

Crunchyroll Premium memberships can be upgraded, downgraded, or canceled at any time through your account settings.

Change your membership plan

  1. Sign in to your Crunchyroll account.
  2. Open your account settings.
  3. Go to the Membership section.
  4. Select Change Plan.
  5. Choose your preferred membership tier.
  6. Confirm the changes.
Your new plan may take effect immediately or at the next billing cycle depending on the subscription type and payment provider.

Cancel your membership

  1. Sign in to your Crunchyroll account.
  2. Open your account settings.
  3. Go to Membership Status.
  4. Select Cancel Membership.
  5. Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation.

Important information about cancellations

  1. Canceling your membership stops future renewals.
  2. Premium access remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  3. If you subscribed through a third-party provider such as Apple, Google Play, Roku, or Amazon, you must cancel through that provider directly.

Why am I still being billed after canceling?

You may continue to see charges if:
  1. The cancellation was not completed successfully.
  2. The subscription was purchased through a third-party platform.
  3. Another Crunchyroll account is linked to your payment method.
  4. A renewal charge was processed before cancellation.
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact Crunchyroll Support and provide your billing details.

My Premium membership is not active

If your Premium benefits are missing:
  1. Sign out of your account.
  2. Sign back in using the correct email address.
  3. Verify your payment was successfully processed.
  4. Restore purchases if you subscribed through a mobile app store.
  5. Contact Support if the issue continues.
